What we do!

            It takes some work but in the end the adventure and journey are so worth it. So far this year we have seen more than 26000 decisions for a Christ life through local networks around the globe. (2010)

            We have various projects and outreach’s that we do. Here are just a few:

1. life.via.chocolate – this is an outreach we have to people who live on the streets. We partner with local coffee companies, food stores and vendors to provide free hot chocolate, coffee, and tea on the coldest nights of the year.

2.      life.via.community – this project is a highly ambitious one, is is pretty much an adopt-a-block program with a few twists. After a day of cleaing and sprucing up the neighbourhood we basically have a huge free barbeque and free concert. People love free food and music

3.      life.via.water – this is our water.for.life campaign, we have been doing it in the city of Saint John New Brunswick Canada, and it seems to be a big hit. We have started with providing a free bottle of water to cruise ship passengers on the hot days of summer, and they love it, 3 in 5 who takes a bottle love to talk, so we show them the love of God in a non religious way!

4.      life.via.adventure – a new project we are launching which is pretty simple. Organise a local outdoor adventure, invite your friends and just let everyone have fun. IE: water rafting, get everyone together for a quick pre trip prayer and go have fun, at the end thank everyone for coming and invite them to a network3:16 adventure!

5.      network3:16 – this is our official if you can call it Believer gathering. It is basically formed after john 3:16. We get together around some Coffee at various locations, restaurants, parks, you name it. And talk about God, His Love, His Grace and how to live life with Him. Its great, informal and very intimate. Once a group starts meeting we encourage them to start doing a monthly project like listed above. As you can imagine the groups grow really quick, as we have strict orders, no religion only God. People who are real and don’t have it all figured out lead in these discussion based groups, filled with love, laughter, acceptance, prayer and worship.

Widows

Reaching out to widows is one of the few outreaches that are directly mentioned in the bible (James 1:27), and is possibly one of the simplest outreaches that you can do. There are many ways you can reach out to widows like bringing them a lunch every week, cutting their grass, home repairs, but one of the powerful ways to reach your widows is simply sitting with them and talking. Many widows are lonely and just want to find purpose in life. By simply hanging out and talking with them you will quickly find that even though u are reaching them, they in fact are impacting you far more than you could ever have thought.

College Outreach

Outreaches at local colleges where you can hand out a wide variety of items weekly or bi-weekly. These items range from gum or water to granola bars. During exam week, you may also see us passing out “bluebooks”, pencils and many other exam necessities. In order to reach out to the faculty, you can even give Starbucks cards to some of the faculty.

Water Outreach - Please check with local bylaws and police inforcemtn before you do this one.

A simple bottle of water can mean so much on hot summer day! With hot summer days and bumper to bumper 5 o’clock traffic, we have found that simply bring ice cold bottles of water to a congested intersection, people will be truly blessed. This outreach has become one of the most reliable and consistent outreaches that we do, but is not safe for children. By simply packing bottled water into an ice chest and having a fired up team of volunteers, this outreach can be done year around and at just about at any local traffic jam!

Battered Women's Shelter Outreach

This is a great outreach to involve the women in your church. Most cities do have a “safe house” or “woman’s shelter” but they are not always easy to find. If you do know of one in your city, try visiting them and possibly helping them with a meal, spring cleaning, manicures, or just a little fellowship time. The cost is very low for the amount of impact you will have on the lives of the women.

Special Needs Outreach

This outreach is primarily geared toward helping local special needs organizations put on their annual festivals, parades or 5k runs. An example would be to partner with Special Olympics in your community and help with one of their events. These outreaches are for all ages and are great to bring your family too.

Nursing Home Outreach

Visit nursing homes weekly or bi-weekly with teams that can consist of any age group. A normal outreach to the nursing homes would consist of visiting residents by going door to door, painting fingernails, having WII tournaments, and having worship sing along. You could also hold monthly church services in some of the nursing homes that you visit.

Adopt-A-Block - Contact us for full details!

Take an entire block and completely adopt that block. Go door to door and visit each family and let them know who you are and bless them with a free gift. You can also have multiple day outreaches where you clean up the area, this can be as simple as picking up trash or as large as painting homes on that block. After reaching a few blocks in a local area have a block party and invite all the residents in the area to join you in a party!
